The Benazir Kafaalat program is an important source of financial support for poor and deserving families in Pakistan. Because at present financial assistance is being provided to about 9 million women belonging to poor and deserving families under this program. The Pakistani government provides financial assistance of 10,500 every three months to the women involved in this program, and according to the latest updates, the happy thing is that this amount is being increased to 13,500 from 2025. If we talk about the importance and history of the Kafaalat program, let me tell you that this program was started by the former Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto, in 2008. And at the time of its inception, the program was aimed solely at providing financial assistance to widows. However, with the passage of time, changes were made by the government within this program, and now it has become the largest financial support program in Pakistan. Now the main objective of which is to provide immediate and long-term assistance to widows as well as other women belonging to very deserving families to overcome economic difficulties in their difficult times. Increase In Number Of Banks To Provide Kafalat Tranche Previously, payments of money to the beneficiaries of the Kafalat program on behalf of the Benazir Income Support Program were made through Habib Bank Limited. And often during this time, those who came to BISP camp sites had to face severe difficulties to get money. However, now BISP has increased the list of banks for timely payment to the beneficiaries, keeping this situation in mind. So that the beneficiaries who come to get the money do not have to face any kind of difficulties and they can get their money as soon as possible without any waiting. Now the Benazir Income Support Program will provide timely payments to the beneficiaries through the following banks. Widows as well as women who belong to a poor and deserving family and whose financial conditions are unstable due to which they are forced to live below the poverty line should complete their registration process. The registration process has now been made easier, so interested women can go to their nearest BISP office and complete their registration process.
